The cards represent different kinds of friendly critters (bats, cockroaches, toads, scorpions, etc.). One of the players places a card face-down in front of him/her and announces an animal to another player, who then has to decide whether he/she thinks the player is lying or not. If he's right, the player who called out the animal takes it back and places it face-up in front of him. If he's wrong, he takes the card face up. The first player to end up with 4 animals of the same species loses. You can also decide to pass the card back to another player!
